Here is a gem unknown to most but absolutely worth trying. It is a typical dessert from the city of Aversa, the first Norman county in Italy. The Polish cake is made up of two discs of brioche-type dough filled with abundant custard enriched with some candied black cherries. Simple and delicate ingredients that enhance each other. Excellent for breakfast, as a dessert, with 5 o'clock tea... in short, a dessert for every occasion.
